Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SORI ("the Service"), operated at soriplay.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SORI is a free global music platform that provides:

• Music streaming powered by YouTube Music (100M+ songs)
• Social features including a forum, Fan Cafes, and messaging
• Songs members add themselves, including AI music
• AI-powered music creation tools (AI Studio)
• Personalized recommendations, playlists, and charts
• Song lyrics in the player

3. Account Registration

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate information during registration
• One person may not maintain more than one account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4. Music Streaming

Music on SORI is streamed through YouTube Music's official services. By using SORI's streaming features, you also agree to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. SORI does not host, store, or distribute that music. The only audio and video files SORI keeps are the ones members upload themselves (see 5.4 Songs you add).

The release dates of the new releases on the home page are read with YouTube API Services, and every song plays through YouTube's own player. By using SORI, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create and post on SORI (posts, comments, photos, videos). By posting, you grant SORI a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Service.

5.2 AI-Generated Content

Music created using AI Studio is subject to our AI content policy. You may use AI-generated music for personal and non-commercial purposes. Commercial use rights may be granted under separate licensing terms.

5.3 Content Standards

You agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Infringes intellectual property rights of others
• Contains spam, malware, or deceptive content
• Impersonates another person or entity
• Contains explicit content involving minors

5.4 Songs you add

You can add a song by pasting the link to its YouTube video, or by uploading its audio file. A linked song plays from YouTube, through YouTube's own player; SORI does not copy or keep its audio. An uploaded file (MP3 or M4A, up to 20 MB and 10 minutes) is kept in SORI's storage and plays in SORI's player. You can also upload a short vertical video (MP4 or MOV, up to 100 MB and 60 seconds, taller than it is wide): it is kept in SORI's storage too and counts as a song in what follows.

• Add only songs you have the right to share: songs you made, or official videos put up by the artist or their label. When you add a song you confirm this, and we record that you did.
• Say how every song was made: AI (made with an AI music tool), AI-assisted (made by people with some help from AI) or Human (made by people without AI). The label shows wherever the song does. A song with the wrong label may be removed.
• A song's title, artist and label are public, with your username, its plays and its likes. Other members can play it, like it, save it to their playlists, comment on it and report it.
• An uploaded song or video needs a cover picture, which is public like the rest of the song. SORI does not offer uploaded files for download.
• To keep out spam, one account can add up to 10 songs a day (3 in its first day) and 200 in all, videos included; its audio files can take up to 1 GB, and its videos up to 3 GB.
• You can delete a song you added at any time, on its page. Its likes and comments go with it, and so do its file and cover.
• If a song uses your work without permission, report it (choose “Copyright infringement”) or email ohyus1197@gmail.com with the song's link, the work it uses and how we can reach you. We take down a song reported with those details within 24 hours and tell the member who added it why. An account whose songs are taken down for infringement three times is suspended. A song taken down stays stored, hidden, for the moderators until the account that added it is deleted.
• Plays, likes and charts on SORI are for listeners. We do not pay for songs or plays, and nothing here promises a payment.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Circumventing, disabling, or interfering with security features
• Using automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Attempting to download, rip, or record streamed music
• Harassing, bullying, or threatening other users
• Using the Service for any illegal purpose
• Selling or transferring your account to another person

7. Intellectual Property

The SORI name, logo, and all related designs are trademarks of SORI. The Service's code, design, and content (excluding user-generated content) are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time on your account page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SORI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, revenue, or profits.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.
